Widow's Mite Experience Conference and Retreat
SUCCESS, SUCCESS, SUCCESS!!! The first Widow's Mite Experience Conference was attended by representatives of all the chapters and some very special guests as well. Terry Meeuwsen, Founder of Orphan's Promise, was the guest speaker on Friday evening. She was so precious as she shared her heart for the plight of orphans around the world. The evening ended with ministry time and beautiful praise and worship led by the Vineyard Group. Saturday's program was wonderful as each chapter presented a skit sharing some of their experiences and challenges. And were they ever creative! From cheerleading to line dancing to witty dialogue, each chapter was amazing. Saturday evening culminated with a silent and live auction and over $11,000 was raised for wells and to the glory of God. And as if that wasn't enough, Dr. Pat Robertson led an inspired Sunday service and communion, which was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend.
We were all blessed by being with a group of dedicated women who share one common goal..to bring clean drinking water and the Living Water, the Word of God, to the nations.
We can't wait til next year.......
